Avoid Brocoli And Dairy Products

Believe it or not, but some foods do cause acne or at least make it even worse. Knowing this we can control what we eat and help prevent acne from getting worse. This is why teenagers are the main culprits, as their diet is usually the complete opposite of healthy. People who lack the crucial amount of vitamins usually have a lot of acne breakouts.

So before you consider going to see a dermatologist about special acne treatments. You have to sort your diet out first, cut out all the junk food, and start getting your 5 a day fruit and vegetables to ensure a good intake of vitamins!

Dairy products are among the foods that make acne worse. Dairy products such as milk, cheese, cream, yogurt etc. Milk for example stimulates the production of sebum. Sebum is a waxy substance that clogs the skin pores. So getting a small intake of dairy products daily is ideal.

Carbohydrates such as sugar, chips / crisps, bread, rice, flour etc, are also bad for acne. Carbohydrates are known to increase the level of stress hormones, which may make your acne worse, or even trigger acne. So, try to cut down as much as possible, the way that I managed to do this was just to have one sugar in my coffee or tea.

There are also other foods that can cause acne, or make it worse such as cooked fats. All oils, roasted nuts, fried foods and meats such as beef, pork, chicken, lamb should be reduced in your diet as much has possible.

All of the above foods above form acid in your body. So if you want to get rid of acne you need to completely avoid these foods completely, or at least eat them in small portions. Remember just stick to your diet plan and you won't go wrong, consistency is the key, good luck.
